This week I had an exhibition at Poundbury Garden Centre in Dorset, featuring my latest British Wildlife work. I was very excited to be exhibiting alongside a number of other artists who are also passionate about British Wildlife.
Unfortunately there were many April showers (hence the waterproof clothing) but there were a couple of breaks in the rain and whilst there I was lucky to sneak a few moments out in the Dorset countryside to sketch and paint.
I was very pleased to find this flower so emblematic of the British spring the wild primrose, it is heavily featured in my next book so it was brilliant to be able to sketch it from life now that it is in season. Watch this space!
